Location:The United States is a huge country that has more than 3.5 million square miles (9 million square kilometers) of land and is home to more than 300 million people. The coastal areas of the West have a very moderate climate, while the mountainous areas see more seasonal variations. The deserts of the Southwest are extremely hot and dry. Conversely, the Northwest has a mild climate year-round with an extraordinary amount of precipitation every year. With so many different climates, it is entirely possible to find a comfortable environment to live in that will suit your needs.

US ISSUES RECORD NUMBER OF VISAS FOR STUDENTS
The US State Department has issued a record number of visas during 2007 for students to study in the US, exceeding pre-9/11 levels, a statement issued on Saturday said.
